An heirloom favourite with gourmet appeal, this slender fingerling variety boasts smooth golden‑yellow skin and creamy yellow flesh that delivers rich nutty flavour and a buttery texture. Originally cultivated in France, Laratte is prized for its firm, waxy flesh that holds its shape beautifully during roasting, boiling, or serving in salads.
Though yields are modest compared to bulk‑varieties, each plant can produce a good set of tubers.
